Global Outbreak is Approaching!

The number of new cases of overseas coronary pneumonia is higher than the number of new cases at home. Switzerland, Austria, Greece, Iran and Kuwait have all been hit by the virus!

Italy--More than 50,000 people have been quarantined.

"Italy has confirmed 650 cases of the NCP in the past 24 hours. Increased 250 in the past 24 hours."  said the head of Italy's Civil Protection Agency in a regular briefing on Wednesday evening.

Of those, 17 died and 45 were cured. Borelli noted that Lombardy, the hardest-hit region, where the last 3 deaths occurred, all of whom were over the age of 80, also had the most cured patients, with a total number of 40.

Currently, 12 towns in Italy are under lockdown and more than 50,000 people have been told to stay at home.

South Korea--South Korea has the highest number of confirmed cases of new coronary pneumonia outside China.

South Korea reported on Feb.27 that 171 new cases of coronary pneumonia had been confirmed, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 1,766. There were 505 more cases in one day compared with previous day.

On Feb.27, tests are still underway for the "Xintiandi" church members in Daegu, and confirmed cases in the area will continue to increase in the near future. At present, among more than 9,000 members of the "Xintiandi" Daegu Church, 1,299 symptomatic cases have been collected. The results of these people will be counted in the statistics in the next two days, and the positive rate is expected to be quite high.

At present, the South Korean government has stepped up epidemic prevention efforts, imposed maximum blockade measures on Daegu and Yongbuk areas, and provided local financial support, 50% of the production of masks as a public obligation supply, free of charge to the public.

Japan

At 8 am local time on Feb. 28, the total number of newly infected people in Japan reached 919, including 200 in Japan, 705 passengers and crew of the "Diamond Princess" Cruise, and 14 people who returned to Japan on a chartered plane by the Japanese government.

Iran--Iranian Vice President has been diagnosed.

The outbreak in Iran is getting worse, with the number of confirmed cases and deaths rising rapidly. Iran has confirmed 270 new cases of coronary pneumonia, including 26 deaths, at the evening of Feb.27.

Iranian Vice President of Women and Family Affairs Massoumeh Ebtekar was confirmed infected with the new coronavirus, local media reported on Feb.27. The new coronavirus has been confirmed by several Iranian officials.

WHO--The biggest worry now is outside China.

The biggest concern is now outside China, where the global outbreak is at a critical juncture and countries are advised to act quickly. However, the new coronavirus is not influenza, and China's epidemic prevention experience shows that as long as the right measures are taken, the outbreak can be controlled.

In addition, Belgium, Cambodia, India, Nepal, the Philippines, Russia, Sri Lanka and Vietnam have not reported new cases for more than two weeks, and each country needs to be prepared to detect cases early, isolate patients, track contact groups, provide quality clinical care, and prevent hospital outbreaks and community transmission.

News of NCP

Until 11:16 Feb. 28, 78,959 cases of novel coronavirus were confirmed in China, among which 2791 died, and 36,157 were cured and discharged. There are still 2308 suspected cases.
